Dear Parents & Students,
Following the latest Government announcement on 30/12/2020, we have received guidance from the Department of Education regarding a change to our plans for a staggered return to college from 04/01/21 – 08/01/21.
The DfE guidance states:
“Secondary schools and colleges will extend the staggered return of their students to give more time for the rollout of testing. This will help find asymptomatic cases and break chains of transmission, making it as safe as possible to return to face-to-face education. They will provide face-to-face education for vulnerable children and the children of critical workers, and prioritise resources for remote education for exam year groups in line with what they would receive in class and to all other years as resources permit.”
Therefore, in light of this guidance, all learning and exam preparation will now be conducted remotely during the week commencing 04/01/2021. However, students who have exams will be required to attend college on that day (see timetable). All exams will require those students to arrive at college by 8.30am.
Please see the attached timetable for further details.
All educational establishments are currently operating in a culture of rapid change and legislation, so once again, thank you for your continued patience and understanding. If you have any questions, don’t forget our team is here to help.
